Installing Language Pack Support feature for Microsoft Internet Explorer

Step 1: Open the Chinese Version of the Scotts College London Website by clicking

on this link. It will open in new window. Once the page is opened and your

Internet Explorer browser displays special charcters instead of chinese chacracters,

then click on the "View" menu, then "Encoding" menu, then "More" menu and then

"Chinese Simplified" as shown below.

Step 2: You will be prompted by a message that "To display the language characters

correctly you need to install the following language pack: Chinese Simplified".

Please click on the "Install" button in order to proceed with the installation of the chinese

language pack that will enable your computer to display the chinese characters properly.

Step 3: After clicking on the "Install" button, You will be asked to enter the Windows Setup

CD to install the required language files to your computer. Please enter the Windows Setup

CD when asked to do so like shown below.Once the CD is inserted, click on the "OK"

button to copy the files from the CD to your computer.

Optional: If you have the windows setup files available on a backup folder on your hard drive,

then you can provide the location of that bakup folder to let the installer use the files from

there like shown below

Step 4: Please wait and let the installer finish its job of copying language pack files from the

windows setup CD to your computer.Once done, you will be prompted with a message to

restart your computer like shown below.Please restart your computer once so that

all changes are taken place successfully.

Once you have performed all the steps, you will be able to view the chinese characters on

your computer and you will be able to view the webpages those contain the cimplified

chinese characters. Please feel free to visit the Chinese Section of the Scotts

College London Website. It will be displayed properly in your Internet Explorer Browser.
